CARD SLEEVES
The physical card plays an important role, and not only because it has the best graphic design across the Mexican fintech ecosystem. It’s also the link to Cuenca’s social-responsibility platform. The cards are accompanied by handmade sleeves made by artisans from different parts of Mexico; this is how we make visible our multi-ethnic heritage and the cultural value of Mexican crafts. And it’s how we connect the relevance of both worlds—analog and digital. We also created a video to share the process and intention behind this piece of design.
Using Cecilia Ruiz’s illustrations, oversized iconography, video, and photography, we celebrated the wealth of techniques and the diversity of our artisans.

CASH DEPOSITS
Because Cuenca doesn't have a branch network, our users couldn’t make cash deposits. The design of this page accompanied the launch of our deposit feature in partnership with 7-Eleven. I incorporated the cash deposits icon from the app to create a visual link with this section where both on the site and in the app you find information on how and where to make them.
The page is divided in four simple sections, with a clear and friendly visual language emulating how easy the process is. To activate cash deposits, Cuenca requests an identification validation. I used a mockup with an animated GIF to illustrate what's going on — and balanced this awkward moment with the heading "Smile." This was extended in the launch post where I took care of the art direction.
